Heat FC Wins Four State Cup Championships

Southern Nevada Soccer Association's competitive program, Heat FC, captured four State Cup Championships at the 2016 Nevada State Championship Finals, held May 14-15 at the Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Heat FC 04 ET, coached by Esad Morina, beat the Barcelona NV Academy side 1-0 in the semifinals, and defeated Vegas All Boys FC 04 1-0 in the finals to win the championship for the U12 Boys division.

In the U13 Boys divsion, Heat FC 03 CR, led by coach Chris Riggott, beat LVSA 03 Red 3-1 in the semi-finals.  In a tight championship match, Heat FC 03 CR edged Vegas All Boys FC 03 2-1 to take the title.

The Heat FC 01 girls team coached by Eric McDonald dominated Players SC 01 Elite Girls 6-1, and scored a late goal to upset LVPSA 01 Girls Red 3-2 to win the championship in the U15 Girls division.

In the U16 Boys division the Heat 00 NPL team, coached by Frank D'Amelio, defeated Downtown LVSC Academy 2-0 in the semifinal game, and edged LVSA 00 Red 1-0 in the final game to secure the title.

All four Heat FC State Champions teams will represent Nevada in the US Youth Soccer Far West Regional championships, to be held in June in Boise, ID.
