SNSA Fall 2012 Adult League Champions Crowned
Southern Nevada Soccer Association's SNSA Fall 2012 Adult league season came to an exciting conclusion on Sunday, December 9 at Anthem Hills Park with the crowning of champions in five playoff divisions.
In the Men's 7v7 division, Sting FC edged Estados Unidos 7-6 in an exciting see-saw match. It is the Sting's first championship title since Spring 2009.
The Coed 7v7 "Best of the Best" division championship match featured the Los Rookies against defending champion GAM3 OV3R. Los Rookies prevailed in a hard-fought match, 4-2 to win their first SNSA Adult League championship in their first season in the league. In earlier playoff action, Los Rookes defeated Romper Stomper 6-1 in the first semifinal match, and GAM3 OV3R defeated Shamrock Rovers 6-3 in the second semifinal.
In the Coed 7v7 "Best of the Rest" division, the Six Shooters defeated Net Rippers 6-2 to become the first SNSA house team to win a Coed Open division title. In earlier semifinal play, Six Shooters beat Balls & Dolls 7-2, and Net Rippers advanced via forfeit.
In the Coed 5v5 "Best of the Best" division, We Got Runs FC edged Mixed Nuts 4-3 in a tense match to win the Championship. In earlier semifinal play, We Got Runs slipped by Heavy Breathers 2-1, and Mixed Nuts defeated Storm 6-4.
The Coed 5v5 "Best of the Rest" championship was decided in a PK Shootout, with the FC Kegerators ultimately defeating Sharpshooters 3-2. In earlier "Best of the Rest" playoff action, the Sharpshooters defeated Here for Beer 3-0 in the first semifinal, and FC Kegerators downed Lost Tourists 4-1.
