SNSA ESTABLISHES ADULT PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

Southern Nevada Soccer Association established the SNSA Adult League in 2007; it started as a small league for the parents of players enrolled in SNSA youth leagues.  The mission of SNSA Adult League is to provide a family-oriented, fun soccer experience for adult players of all ages and skill levels through coed recreational and open division play.  Although league game results and standings are posted, the primary emphases of SNSA Adult League are sportsmanship, safety, fitness and fun.  This code of conduct is established to ensure that all participants in SNSA Adult League understand the behavior expectations for our players, and will work together to create a positive environment for our members to enjoy coming together to play the great game of soccer.

SNSA ADULT LEAGUE FALL 2017 RESULTS

The Southern Nevada Soccer Association Fall 2017 Adult League season came to an exciting conclusion with the crowning of four playoff champions in the Coed 8v8 and Coed 5v5 divisions on November 19 at Heritage Park.

The Coed 8v8 Best of the Best division  featured a six team bracket.  In the quarterfinal round Fisher Space Pen defeated Joga Bonito 8-4 and Public Works blanked Henderson United 4-0 to advance to the semifinal round.  Game Over beat Fisher Space Pen 7-3 in the first semifinal, and Shamrock Rovers defeated Public Works by an identical 7-3 score to set up the championship match.  The final match was a nail-biter, as the teams tied 4-4 at the end of regulation play. In the subsequent penalty kick shootout, Shamrock Rovers prevailed 3-1 to win the Coed 8v8 Best of the Best championship shirts.

The Coed 8v8 Best of the Rest division comprised a five team knockout-round format.  In the quarterfinal match, Sporting LV forfeited, allowing ABCDE FC to advance to the semifinals.  In the semifinal matches FC United blanked ABCDE FC 7-0, and Alliance FC defeated South Squad 9-2 to advance to the final match.  In the championship game FC United jumped out to a 5-2 first-half lead and never looked back, beating Alliance FC 10-3 to claim the title of Best of the Rest.

Six teams vied for the Best of the Best in the Coed 5v5 division.  Both quarterfinal games were tightly-contested; Man Cave United edged F10 7-6, and Booty Kickers slipped by Chamucos FC 8-7.  In the semifinals Mark it Zero Smokey defeated Booty Kickers 12-5, and Man Cave United beat Metrostars FC 13-8.  Man Cave United then hammered Mark It Zero Smokey 12-7 to earn the vaunted Best of the Best t-shirt for the Coed 5v5 division.

The Coed 5v5 Best of the Rest division used a five team knockout-round format. Thunderbolts were awarded a 3-0 victory over Quagga Muscles in the quarterfinal match due to a forfeit. Thunderbolts then forfeited to Mixed Nuts in the first semifinal match.  In the second semifinal, NWA shut out Captain Garmon 7-0.  The championship game was a thriller; Mixed Nuts led 4-2 at the half, but NWA stormed back with three female goals in the second half, including the game-winner with only minutes left in the game, to be crowned Best of the Rest for the Coed 5v5 division.
